Shim-pack Scepter LC column series products provide excellent durability and performance under a wide range of conditions because an organic silica hybrid base is used. With a wide range of particle sizes and column sizes, the series is fully compatible with UHPLC through preparative HPLC. The Shim-pack Scepter 300-C4 is the most suitable reversed-phase column for LC as well as LC-MS analysis of proteins such as intact monoclonal antibodies and their sub-units.
The Shim-pack Scepter LC column series products use an organic silica hybrid base, provide excellent durability and performance under a wide range of conditions. Due to a lineup of a wide variety of column chemistries with different separation selectivity (6 types
of reverse phase, 1 type of HILIC), the columns are effective for method development/scouting and users can select a column that is suitable for each application. Furthermore, with a wide variety of particle sizes and column sizes, analysis method can be transferred seamlessly between UHPLC, analysis HPLC, and preparative HPLC.
The Shim-pack Scepter 300-C4 is a wide-bore C4 column that uses an organic silica hybrid base which is suitable for separation of proteins such as monoclonal antibodies. The column can be used for analysis of proteins with a molecular weight of up to approximately 150,000 and is suitable for analysis of antibodies as it is very stable even under acidic or high-temperature conditions because an organic silica hybrid base is used. It is also effective for high-sensitivity analysis on LC/MS as it provides good peak shapes even when using a formic acid mobile phase with low ion paring effect. It is effective for separation of highly-hydrophobic middle and low-molecules that are hard to separate using a regular C18 column.
