General-purpose Biphenyl column that exhibits increased retention and selectivity for aromatic and/or unsaturated compounds compared to conventional alkyl and phenyl phases. Use as an alternative to a C18 for compounds with limited retention on alkyl phases. Comprised of base-deactivated spherical silica that is optimized for UHPLC stability. This is a great complement to a C18 column when alternate selectivity is desired. An excellent choice for the analysis of steroids, tetracyclines, drug metabolites, and other compounds that contain some degree of unsaturation. Silica based with 140A pore size and 8% carbon load. For use with mobile phases from 2.5 to 7.5 and a maximum temperature of 80C.
