Supercritical Fluid Chromatography (SFC) is widely used in industries like pharmaceuticals, food, and cosmetics, where rapid and effective separation of complex mixtures, including chiral compounds, is essential.  SFC uses liquid carbon dioxide with an organic modifier for alternate selectivity compared to reversed-phase and normal phase separations.  The Shim-pack UC family has achiral phases, while Nexera UC includes both chiral and achiral options.
